Welcome

Welcome to the Consular Section of Swiss Embassy in Ulaanbaatar!

The Consular Section of the Embassy of Switzerland in Ulaanbaatar was opened in Ulaanbaatar in 2004, forty years after the establishment of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Mongolia, with a view to intensifying and deepening the existing friendly cooperation in the political, economic, development and cultural fields. Switzerland has been committed to help Mongolia to meet its challenges through the transition period. We are honoured to know that Switzerland is considered as a reliable and close partner of the Mongolian Government in its development process.

This website is designed to give you general information and news on Switzerland, Mongolia‑Switzerland bilateral relationship, links to the Swiss development cooperation programs in Mongolia as well as other useful sites.  I believe you will find this site helpful. Do not hesitate to contact us if you need our service, advice or more detailed information.

Blaise Godet,
Ambassador of Switzerland to China, Mongolia and North Korea

Welcome to our website!

Mongolia and Switzerland have many things in common: Both countries are land-locked, blessed with beautiful nature and landscapes, are pursuing a policy of neutrality and independence, are committed to democracy and a free market economy, value education and freedom of speech, religion and assembly. Switzerland and Mongolia enjoy a level of cooperation now as never before. Though our countries are far apart geographically, our cultural and cooperative interactions are bringing us more closely together.

Switzerland is happy to partner with Mongolia in its efforts to alleviate poverty through humanitarian aid and development cooperation, which significantly contribute to the country's efforts towards sustainable development.

This website offers you to stay connected to Switzerland.

Felix Fellmann
Counsellor for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Consular Affairs Swiss Cooperation Office,
